TRIATHLON and RUN TRAININGMy coaching style is centered around having fun and being proud of your accomplishments, no matter what they are. Racing should not be so serious that you can't be enjoying yourself. Your training and racing should fit in with your lifestyle and not be a burden. Just like in yoga and in life, your training plan should be balanced and flexible. There should be a purpose to each workout and you should know what it is. Do you have a group of friends who wants to train for a specific race? Contact me and we can work up a group training rate and program. Individualized plans are also available. YOGAMy yoga style is definitely more Iyengar than anything. I don't get caught up in the perfect body position but I like standing poses that are held for lots of breaths. And, I don't use a lot of props other than blocks and straps. I'm definitely not a vinyasa style teacher. I can't get over the fact that not everyone moves at the same pace and I hate to leave anyone behind. I think it's the mentality of being chosen last in elementary school or not being able to keep up in gym class. I like finding stillness and calmness and stability in poses. I like my mind to wander away from the strain of a pose while still being engaged with how my body feels in the pose.
